This is on page 15 of the manual I linked. If the clutch is slipping due to the reasons above, fix the problem, don't adjust the slip clutch. The Hydramatic cover is UL tested and certified to exceed ASTM F1346-91. The screen mesh will collect the leaves and most debris. If the shifting dogs do not engage each other, the pool cover can not move. Our exclusive patented built-in rainwater removal feature eliminates accumulated rainwater on the cover surface by simply turning the key to open the cover, the water is forced through the screens into the pool. Check the shifting dogs (or shifting gears) for accurate alignment. Upgrade your existing cover system for more power and convenience. No matter the make, model, or brand of your current pool cover system, Cover-Pools has the perfect replacement cover solution for your pool. Most modern drive pins are made of hardened steel and should not break, but should be checked regardless. Whether you already have a Cover-Pools cover or not, your local Cover-Pools dealer can assist you with your automatic pool cover needs. Water on the cover, low pool water level, bad track pulleys, and dirt or debris in the track can all cause the clutch to slip. If you do have a sheared pin, then it would seem that your cover ropes might be stuck or too tight which caused the shear pin. While some systems have a shear pin, technicians should not confuse this with the present drive pin. Once you have the cover moving well on its own, then the next thing I would check is the slip clutch: "Make sure there is nothing interfering with the cover operation before adjusting the slip clutch. I would also check the rope track and make sure it is clean. If it hasn't been used in a while one or more of the pulleys could be frozen and creating too much friction. I would do at least a partial manual close/open to check the ease of moving the cover and ropes through the tracks and pulleys. Check to see if the shear-pin, shear-bolt, or motor coupler bolt is broken. If you do have a sheared pin, then it would seem that your cover ropes might be stuck or too tight which caused the shear pin to break protecting your gears and pulleys. Cover-Pools can replace any manufacturers automatic pool cover. You are lucky that the motor is running well it appears - Check if you have a shear pin as others have mentioned above (Not sure a T3 does - mine is a T3 also).
